Originally the business was set up by Peter Mertens in 1987 making bespoke furniture. The main work being reproduction furniture stained and polished  bookcase, cabinets, tables and chairs, television and audio units. Working in mahogany, cherry, yew, oak, ash, maple, walnut and many other timbers. The market has changed and styles have altered. Our company has moved on with the customer’s needs and requirements.  Now the majority of our work is built in furniture, fitted wardrobes, fitted and freestanding bookcases and cabinets. Most pieces are more of a contemporary style with light colour timber, oak, ash and maple, finished with clear lacquer, oil or even spray paint.

We have many years worth of experience. Whatever you are looking for we can design and make it to satisfy you the customer. We have had to accommodate log burner flues, chimneys, electric sockets and television sockets, sloping ceilings, wooden beams, uneven floors, pipes and cables.

We as a company solve your problems; we have the knowledge and experience. We can advise the customer on how to make the most of your storage be it on display or hiding away messy areas.  The appearance of your furniture can alter the perspective and mood of a room. All projects are debated and discussed so you the client is confident and satisfied with the solution. Delighted customers are what we aim for, they order more work, pass on our details to potential new clients. Thus increasing our business.
